Project description

Monford provided development and construction services for the Mooka Rail Camp – a 519- room rail construction camp at Mooka, 26 kilometres south of Port Hedland. The project is an integral part of BHP Billiton’s Asset Development Projects in its efforts to increase mining, processing, rail transportation, stockpiling and ship loading capabilities of iron ore in the north west of WA. The camp has the potential to increase in size to accommodate 2,800 people over the next two years. Monford performed earthworks, in ground services and concrete works.
