Project description

Kerman engaged Monford to deliver underground services for the Nammuldi Mine in the Pilbara, Western Australia.

Scope of work

Separable Portion 1 Area

  • Supply and install below-ground, low-voltage (LV), high-voltage (HV), communications and earthing electrical conduits (6,221 metres)
  • Install raw water, potable water, oily water, fire water and sewer system piping (2,388 metres)
  • Polyweld fire water and potable water pipelines
  • Install junction pits and information tape for services
  • Trenching for services, backfill and compaction (8,609 metres)
  • Install above-ground, 30mm thick, raw water HDPE pipeline to the mining crusher facility (2,000 metres) – the pipeline was polywelded in-situ in 12 metre lengths
  • Commission and test all installed services

Separable Portion 2 Area

  • Supply and install below-ground, low-voltage (LV), high-voltage (HV), communications and earthing electrical conduits (2,572 metres)
  • Install raw water, potable water, oily water, fire water and sewer system piping (1,730 metres)
  • Polyweld fire water and potable water pipelines
  • Install junction pits and information tape for services
  • Trenching for services, backfill and compaction (4,302 metres)
  • Commission and test all installed services

Separable Portion 3 Area

  • Supply and install below-ground, low-voltage (LV), high-voltage (HV), communications and earthing electrical conduits (5,753 metres)
  • Install raw water, potable water, oily water, fire water and sewer system piping (959 metres)
  • Polyweld fire water and potable water pipelines
  • Install junction pits and information tape for services
  • Trenching for services, backfill and compaction (6,712 metres)
  • Commission and test all installed services
