Graham Morgan
Graham has more than 20 years’ experience as a senior executive and business advisor identifying merger, acquisition and transformation opportunities to diversify organisational capabilities and improve the core value of a business. During his career he has advised and led over 30 separate transactions. He is currently the CEO of MergeCo International. Graham delivers non-organic growth through acquiring businesses that, when combined, drive significant value to the acquiring organisation. Having held the position of CEO at a number of businesses, Graham adds a wealth of executive experience to our advisory committee. His extensive career is supported by his academic achievements. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Direction.
Dermot Costello
Dermot Costello
Dermot has 18 years’ experience in engineering, project management and consulting. He has worked as a mechanical design engineer, senior project manager, R&D engineer, and process development technician for companies in Ireland and Australia. His experience includes working on several large-scale renewable and sustainable energy projects, including solar, wind, wave and tidal technology. He is currently the WA Manager at the Clean Energy Council of Australia. Dermot established Emerald Energy Consultancy in 2012, and has worked with Chevron on the Gorgon project as a senior project manager. His professional roles have seen him designing and developing new systems to maximise efficiencies, managing teams of engineers and technicians, and working on mine sites. Dermot contributes substantial experience to our advisory committee with his expansive career in project management and consulting in the energy sector. He holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Project Management.
Sean Wilson
Sean Wilson
With more than 20 years’ experience managing multi-national projects and developments, Sean provides Monford with expertise in growing businesses and organisations in difficult markets, specialising in change management. He provides leadership to our team, overseeing our operations and ensuring accountability through our Managing Director and Advisory Committee. He has worked across Asia, Europe and Australia, managing projects in logistics, railways, training, engineering, manufacturing, mining, retail and intellectual property products. Sean has held executive level roles where he has proved competencies in strategic growth planning and business development through ownership and/or private equity and has helped establish a variety of international and national companies in rail, mining, and specialist services. Adding to his extensive business operations experience, Sean is formally qualified with a Degree in Commerce.
Paul Hawkins
Paul Hawkins
Paul has advised on strategies and consulted on bids and transactions approaching $20 billion, in over 20 countries. He is the founder and managing director of Crazy Might Work and MergeCo International. Paul is a regular presenter at international conferences, with his most recent engagements including chairing the Chief Strategy Officers’ Summit, and the World Forum Disrupt, both in Sydney, Australia in 2016. His consulting competencies include innovation in marketing and project management, leading transformational change, non-organic growth strategies and cultural considerations. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Master’s degree in Business. He is also a certified mergers and acquisitions advisor, and has completed a master class in negotiations from Harvard University, experience that makes him an integral part of our advisory committee. Paul sits on and advises multiple boards, including in the not-for-profit sector.
Simon High
Simon High
Simon has more than 40 years’ global experience in the resources industry, particularly in CAPEX and OPEX contracting roles, where he has executed global onshore and offshore projects. His corporate roles have included integrating multiple businesses into a focused and profitable entity, which outperformed peer companies. Simon has worked as an engineering director, project director, president, chief executive officer and managing director of companies in the UK, Europe, South Africa, the USA and Australia. Throughout these roles, he developed the right mix of experience and expertise at board and senior management levels, established relevant internal and external reporting procedures and processes, developed and executed appropriately resourced and funded growth strategies, and developing sound investor relations communications strategies and protocols. Simon holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, is a Fellow of Engineers Australia, a Fellow of Institute of Company Directors (Australia) and Member of Civil Engineers (UK).
