Declan provides governance, leadership and strategic direction to the senior management team. Through his “from the ground up” leadership approach and experience, Declan ensures the company is adequately resourced and committed to delivering projects that meet client and legislative requirements and objectives. With more than 10 years’ experience in the civil construction industry in both Ireland and Australia, Declan has worked as a site engineer on various buildings and structures, and as a project manager on concrete works. Since establishing Monford in 2010, Declan has built the company to be a leading integrated construction services provider. Declan holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (Hons), a Certificate in Building Energy Rating, and a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Building (MAIB) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB).
Kieran Brophy

With more than 30 years’ international construction management experience, Kieran provides leadership to our senior management team in Australia. He ensures our teams work with accountability and integrity to deliver projects on time, within budget, safely and sustainably. Kieran has previously worked across Ireland, United Kingdom, Middle East and Australia managing projects in civil infrastructure, building and mining. Kieran holds a Diploma in Construction Economics, is an associate member of the Institute of Building, and a full member of The Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Sandra Lee

Finance Manager
Sandra has four years’ experience in accounts management, including accounting, financial administration and reporting, and payroll. With her solid understanding of the financial management requirements of a growing construction company, Sandra conducts regular audits of payroll and accounts, manages payroll and petty cash, oversees financial administration, reviews labour and plant progress claims, creates tax invoices, and produces reports. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Accounting & Business Law, a Certificate IV in Financial Accounting & Diploma of Accounting, and a Certificate IV in Accounting.
Patrick Browne
Patrick Browne
Operations Manager
Patrick manages the operations team and projects from tender to handover, including day-to-day operations, and coordinating all site works to ensure plant and personnel are utilised effectively, and client and company project objectives are met. With more than 25 years’ experience in the civil construction industry in Australia, the UK and Ireland, Pat has worked as a construction manager, project manager and civil supervisor on major civil works. His experience spans construction on roads, bridges, water treatment plants, sewerage works, reservoirs, multi-storey buildings and flood relief works. Pat holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Construction Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management, a Postgraduate Certificate in Development Management and a Higher National Diploma in Building Studies. He has also undertaken a range of training courses, including OSH for Supervisors, City and Guilds Carpentry and Joinery and SALT – Fair work for Construction, SALT – Understanding Building Contracts, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building.

Personnel Manager
Catriona manages the ongoing recruitment and management of Monford’s growing team, and ensures the company’s “people-first philosophy” is maintained and the team’s career development prioritised. Managing more than 200 full-time employees, Catriona’s exemplary communication skills ensure all human resources and industrial relations matters are dealt with efficiently and the Monford team is unified. Catriona holds a Certificate in Computer Programming with Applications, and a Certificate in Computer Systems and Business. She also completed the Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Industrial Relations Master Class.
Ciaran Shannon

Commercial Manager
With more than 16 years’ experience in contract administration in both the UK and Australia, Ciaran manages the contract/commercial aspects of construction projects and supports our project delivery teams in all aspects of pre-contract activities and contract/commercial activities. This includes preparing and maintaining budgets and estimates, client liaison, monitoring variations, coordinating contracts and submitting claims. With his team, Ciaran also ensure bids are presented accurately and timely, and projects are delivered under strict cost control conditions. Ciaran holds a degree in Commercial Management, a Master of Science in Construction Commercial Management (Distinction), a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Management (Hons) and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Plant Manager
With more than 15 years’ experience in the UK and Australia, Kate provides administration support to Monford’s Supply Chain team. Focusing on the company’s plant and equipment, and its provision, maintenance, control and supply, Kate supports our project teams in all aspects of purchasing, accounts and plant/equipment management. Using her strong customer liaison skills, Kate provides procurement, purchasing and accounts support. Kate holds a Certificate in GNVQ Business Studies.
Niall Walsh

HSEQT Manager
With more than 10 years’ experience in Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality & Training (HSEQT) disciplines, Niall manages all HSEQT activities to ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with company and client requirements. This includes internal auditing, IMS integration, and developing and implementing management plans. Leading a growing team, Niall also resources projects and maintains the company’s certifications and contractual commitments. He develops and implements HSEQT plans throughout all site activities, including accident and incident investigation and reporting. He organises, plans, coordinates, records and controls site-related HSEQT studies and reviews, including risk assessments, site audits, site guidelines, and HSE data. Niall holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health (Hons), a Specialist Diploma in Quality Management/Six Sigma, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and a Masters of Business Studies in Human Resource Management. He also has completed training in Occupational First Aid, Radiological Protection, Internal Quality Auditing for Pharmaceutical Companies, Fire Safety, Chemical Spillage Awareness, Abrasive Wheels and Injury Management.
Elena Martinez

Business Systems Manager
With more than eight years’ experience in Spain and Ireland as a human resources and employee relations specialist, Elena provides business systems management support to Monford’s project delivery teams. She ensures all management systems, policies, procedures and processes are implemented so our teams can deliver projects in accordance with both stakeholder requirements and legal and contractual requirements. Elena holds a Masters of Business Studies in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Law, and is a graduate member of CIPS. She also holds an Expert in Employment Relations qualification. Since relocated to Australia, Elena has further developed her experience in business systems and integrated management systems.
