Monford Group Launches Licensed Electrician Pathway Program

Monford Group is proud to launch its Licensed Electrician Pathway Programme, designed for skilled international electrical tradespeople to gain Australian licensing. Spearheaded by an electrical supervisor who faced similar challenges, the program offers personalized training, mentorship, and supervision to help participants meet Australian standards. Currently open to employees, it reflects Monford’s commitment to internal growth and workforce development.

RIPPA Winners

At Monford Group, we proudly acknowledge the exceptional performance of our team members through the RIPPA Awards. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence make them true champions of the RIPPA spirit.

Nicole fulfills the role of Project Administrator on our Glenellen project extremely well, as well as the person responsible for on-site logistics management which she takes in her stride, despite having limited experience. She has quickly become the ‘go-to’ expert on delivery schedules and materials, managing up to 28 trucks a day with smooth co-ordination between drivers and site supervisors. With a proactive mindset, Nicole identifies gaps in driver support and traffic management and has stepped up without hesitation—eventually taking full ownership of logistics and deliveries. Her flexibility in managing delays, her deepening knowledge of materials, and her ability to maintain timely, efficient operations have been instrumental to the project’s success. Highly approachable and well-respected, Nicole is known by name to everyone on site—from drivers to clients at the front gate. She has built strong working relationships and become a critical link in the delivery chain and to our project. Taking on this role entirely on her own initiative, Nicole has turned a challenge into a remarkable achievement—all while working in solar and logistics for the first time. Congratulations Nicole!

AJ was the inaugural winner of the RIPPA Award, following the launch of our new values. AJ has been an invaluable team member for almost three years, consistently bringing positivity, humour, and a collaborative spirit to every project site. Starting as a general labourer and progressing swiftly to a Leading Hand, AJ now leads teams and oversees logistics as a Logistics Supervisor at the Cunderdin Solar Farm Project. His journey reflects not only his hard work but also his embodiment of Monford’s RIPPA values—Resilience, Innovation, Positivity, Performance, and Approachability. AJ’s leadership and unwavering commitment to these values make him a deserving recipient of this award. His approachable attitude and excellent communication skills have earned him the respect of his colleagues, while his positive mindset inspires those around him to perform at their best. AJ continues to set a standard for professionalism, teamwork, and growth. Congratulations AJ for this well-deserved recognition.

Stephen consistently demonstrates a proactive approach, anticipating site needs and acting efficiently. He is industrious, methodical and detail-oriented, never repeating mistakes—showcasing continuous learning. His contributions to the HSE system reflect Monford’s commitment to safety and efficiency, actively addressing challenges and implementing improvements. He sets a strong example through his professionalism, presentation and behaviour. Recognised for his approachability, patience and excellent working relationships across all levels, Stephen is respected for his communication skills—knowing when to listen and when to speak. His mentors describe him as a gentleman with the right attitude, maintaining high moral standards while remaining cool, calm, and collected, congratulations Stephen!

Bryn, our dedicated IT Manager, was votes as a deserving recipient of the RIPPA Award in 2024. Having been with Monford for several years, Bryn is the go-to person for IT solutions, always ready to lend a hand and share his knowledge with colleagues across all levels. Bryn plays a crucial role in supporting our sites, leading the setup and maintenance of IT systems to ensure smooth operations. His hard work and innovative thinking have been instrumental in finding new ways to improve processes within Monford. Whether it’s streamlining workflows or troubleshooting technical challenges, Bryn consistently brings fresh ideas that enhance our efficiency and effectiveness. Bryn’s approachable nature, combined with his unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, makes him a standout leader in IT. His passion for teaching and helping others has earned him the respect of the team, and his contributions have positively impacted our operations. Congrats to Bryn for his outstanding work and well-deserved recognition.

Karen, our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, was one of our RIPPA Award winners in 2024! Since joining Monford in October 2022, Karen has shown outstanding dedication, transforming our marketing strategies and brand presence across multiple platforms. Over the past two years, Karen has worked hard to update Monford’s assets, including our website, capability statement, and has produced loads of new videos for our YouTube channel. Her innovative approach has significantly enhanced how we communicate our vision and projects to the wider industry, improving engagement both internally and externally. Karen’s proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement have played a key role in elevating Monford’s presence in the renewable energy sector. Her ability to adapt quickly and take on diverse challenges, from onsite project roles to overseeing our marketing initiatives, demonstrates her versatility and drive. Her embodiment of the RIPPA values—Resilience, Innovation, Positivity, Performance, and Approachability—makes her an invaluable member of the team. Karen’s work is an integral part of our growth, and we look forward to seeing the continued impact she will have.

Career Development Journeys

Arjun’s career at Monford Group reflects how curiosity, skill development, and hard work can lead to exciting new opportunities. He joined Monford in 2022 as a Project Engineer – Civil on the Cunderdin Hybrid Solar + BESS Project, where he spent several months on site, ensuring the civil works were delivered to the highest quality standards.

He then moved to the Port Hedland Solar Farm, working on one of Australia’s strongest solar arrays designed for Wind Region D. There, he not only continued to build on his civil engineering expertise but also obtained his drone license to support site monitoring, progress tracking and inspection tasks.

In 2024, Arjun embraced a new challenge by transitioning into a Civil Estimator role within Monford’s Pre-Contracts team. In this role, he supports our tendering efforts, applying his hands-on project knowledge to help shape the success of future projects.

Shine’s career at Monford Group reflects his dedication, continuous learning, and diverse experience across infrastructure, resources, and energy projects. He joined the company as a Graduate Engineer 4 years ago and quickly developed a comprehensive skill set through hands-on experience both on-site in challenging conditions and within our engineering department in the office. Throughout his journey, Shine has worked diligently to support clients, consistently going the extra mile to ensure project success. His ability to adapt and contribute across various sectors has been integral to his professional growth. Shine’s willingness to assist others, combined with his strong technical expertise, has made him an invaluable asset to the team.
