Monford Group Launches Licensed Electrician Pathway Program

Monford Group, a leader in renewable energy and infrastructure, is excited to announce the launch of its Licensed Electrician Pathway Programme—an internal initiative aimed at our people who joined us as skilled international electrical tradespeople with relevant qualifications and experience. This programme is designed to support them in becoming licensed electricians in Australia, opening doors to professional growth and recognition.

The programme was spearheaded by one of Monford’s electrical supervisors, who approached the company after struggling with the licensing process himself. His initiative reflects Monford’s commitment to listening to its people and offering tailored support for their career development. The programme is currently open to Monford’s full-time people, ensuring it meets the company’s high standards and reinforces its commitment to internal growth.

Currently, five people are enrolled in the programme, which is assessed on a case-by-case basis. The programme includes personalised training, supervision, and mentorship to ensure all participants meet Australian licensing standards. This approach is a reflection of Monford’s dedication to workforce development and its goal of supporting people in their growth while ensuring the company can meet the industry’s evolving demands.

“We’ve always been committed to investing in our people. This programme exemplifies our dedication to workforce development, supporting both individual growth and our ability to meet the evolving demands of the industry.”

Pat Furlong, COO of Monford Group

The programme evaluates candidates based on their current qualifications, work rights, and demonstrated commitment. By providing targeted training and mentorship, Monford ensures that our people are equipped to succeed in their licensing journey and contribute meaningfully to the company’s success.

We remain dedicated to nurturing talent and offering opportunities for internal growth, making the Licensed Electrician Pathway Program a key part of its ongoing commitment to employee development and excellence.
